In Northern Europe, climate change is expected to create new growing conditions for forage production, which is essential for feeding our livestock. With milder and wetter autumns and winters, the growing season is expected to be up to three months longer than today. The OPS project for the pre-breeding of perennial ryegrass (Lolium perenne L.) aims to identify new genetic resources that can be used to develop cultivars capable of coping with these new conditions
