About the project

The main goal of the project “Norwegian malt, hops, and herbs – the taste of Norwegian beer” is to gather old and new knowledge about raw materials for the production of Norwegian beer.

The project will be led by Nøgne Ø, under the management of Tore Nybø, in close collaboration with 12 microbreweries, three breweries, and NORBRYGG – the Norwegian Homebrewing Association. Additionally, Bioforsk and Graminor will serve as R&D partners, along with malting and brewing expertise from Denmark and England. (Research Council of Norway)
