Norwegian Plant Biology Conference 2017

The 5th Norwegian Plant Biology Conference (NorPlantBio 2017) will take place at Hamar, on the 21st and 22nd of June, 2017.

The NorPlantBio conference 2017 is organised by the Inland Norway University of Applied Sciences (HINN), in collaboration with Arena Heidner and Graminor, on behalf of the National Network for Plant Biology Research in Norway. The goal for the network is to secure better funding for plant science and to strengthen the quality of Norwegian plant research through coordinated actions and utilization of resources among the partners. This network represents universities and research institutes involved in plant research in Norway. 

NorPlantBio 2017

The goal of the NorPlantBio 2017 conference is to create a recurring national meeting place for all fields of plant biology research, and to provide a platform to the researchers to share cutting-edge development in the field, exchange new ideas, promote scientific contacts and start potential collaborations among participants.NorPlantBio 2017 conference will aim to provide a forum for sharing knowledge and experiences in the plant research field. International invited speakers will present their latest scientific advances, and share their knowledge and experience in the plant research area. Throughout the conference there will be poster- sessions and a workshop.

Registration is open

The registration fee includes access to all sessions, conference material, two lunches, coffee breaks with refreshments and conference dinner. The fee also includes a boat trip with Skibladner, the world's oldest preserved paddle steamer. Accommodation must be booked separately (see Accommodation)

Regular registration (2 April –1 June 2017)             Registration fee NOK 2000,-

After regular registration (2 June –21 June 2017)    Registration fee NOK 2500,-

Support applications for Travel Grant Awards for young researchers (Master and PhD students) in Norway and the Nordic countries and have been filed by the Plant Network Norway and will be announced if funded.
