Kristin Børresen is employed as the new CEO of Graminor AS. The company is Norway's only plant breeding Company, and has breeding programs in forage crops, cereals, potatoes, fruit and berries.

The company has an important role in providing Norwegian farmers new plant varieties needed to produce food based on Norwegian resources and ensure food security in Norway. At the same time, the company must have a commercial focus through delivering plant varieties demanded by the Norwegian farmers. The board of Graminor believes Kristin has a good understanding of the agricultural industry and food production in Norway. She has a solid business background and relevant knowledge of management and agriculture. She also has a significant network that is relevant in this position. Following a thorough process, the Board approved the appointment in board meeting on Friday, October 26th.
Graminor's mission is to develop new plant varieties for Norwegian and Nordic growing conditions. The company supplies new plant varieties to the agriculture and horticulture industry in Norway. The company also has extensive research and development related to plant science relevant to the company’s mission. Kristin has had the position as Market and Communications Manager in Gramionr for the last three years. She has a Master in Economics and Natural Resource Management from the Norwegian University of Life Sciences. She has previously worked in Geno Global and Yara. Kristin joins the position as CEO. January 1, 2019.
